Fender Rumble Club

I wonder if the 'exciting new amp' is even going to be a Rumble at all, but rather an entirely new entity of its own. Given GK's 800; Mesa's 800, and the new award winning Genzler 800 (which is very Rumble like), I wouldn't be surprised if it were an 800 or 1,000. F.M.I.C. still owns the SWR and sunn O)) marques, and may use them as they see fit.

An editorial comment on the Mesa Subway. What are they thinking?! :wacky: Lets name our latest & greatest after a low quality sandwich chain besmirched by their now defrocked spokesperson amid a child porn scandal?! :bag: Sooooo Stupid.

I can get the 112 cab locally for $275 including tax, but I just can't bring myself to do it. They even have it in stock. So far the 200 has gotten my by pretty well with just the internal 15. Most of the time I am using my 100 anyway; and only halfway up on the volume.
Same here on the 200c doing great.Got quite a few outside gigs this spring/summer so the 210 cab should be enough-with o/d if needed(I hope). In the back of my mind I think i'm asking too much for 200 watts though.

While the sandwich chain may spring easily to mind, I'm willing to lay a sporting bet that it's the "sub" as in "low frequency" that is the basis for the name ;)

I can understand how some folks would prefer that their Rumble stack be uniform in width. But besides the matching width dimension, is there any other reason one would put a Rumble 112 under a Rumble 200 combo? Any sonic/acoustic/audio advantage? For my ears, the stacked 15s work really well. I don't mind that the 115 cabinet is wider.

My 1x12 is a speaker out of an old PB212 put in an old grey carpeted 1x12 box with a touch of a slant(wider at bottom than top),but the speaker points straight ahead. it fits fine on top of the 200. Of course, it ain't all that pretty, but hey, it's rock n roll.

when i was looking at a local (Australia) store's website a few weeks ago, I noticed that he 115 was cheaper than the 112.
I dont understand why though.
Cheaper is better, yes? If you need one-nows the time to buy.Lasttime I asked about prices(drums) I was politely told that they don't set prices on ''new gear''those prices comes from the top''-I wasn't complaining,I was actually complimenting them on a buyer friendly price.

yes, indeed. If I could... I would.
I am sure the case will be different when I'm shopping for real.

The112 was a late entry to the Aust. market I think, I assume thats why, a different exchange for that batch? a new pricing policy but only the 112s had flowed through?
one of those I guess.

Edit: add prices.
Rumble 112 Cabinet (V3) RRP $849.00 $551.85
Rumble 115 Cabinet (V3) RRP $699.00 $454.35

Just ordered a Fender Rumble 500 head, with the Rumble 115 & 410 cabs. Live wire 12 guage speaker cables.

Can't wait till it arrives.. Went with this and I know it's against the grain mixing cabs but I've ran mixed cabs in the past and never heard a complaint from a fan or the guy running FOH.

Post some pics and comment when I get it and setup.

+1 Agree with the sonic advantage of stacked identical drivers. The Rumble 112's only advantage is it's smaller size & footprint along with lighter weight: 31 lbs. vs 39 lbs. I run a mini-stack of V2 Rumble 112's for that very reason.

hi, i'm new here. got a rumble 100 v3 for a year now and found out that it is just a little too weak for little "louder" jams or rehearsals. just mud and not enough bottom end. so now i got myself a used rumble 500 combo and compared them side by side at home.

then i found out that my open E string sounds way bigger and warmer with my 100 than with the 500. tried in different rooms and different positions (edge of the room, tilted back...) so that should not be the problem. Open A string and everything above got about the same beef as the 100

Can it be that this is because of the dampened inner back of the 500? Or is it the 10s not being able to really handle a low E? How about the low B? Did anyone of you have similar problems? I know that this effect might disappear at louder volumes in rehearsal or stage situation. But i love a deep tone and usually even dial out some of the low mids to emphasize those the sub bass a little. Cranking the bass Up is no option here, because it operates at 80hz, which also emphasizes the A and even the D.

Maybe i'm better off with two linked 100s? Don't know...

@dawhatthevid You just need more volume is all. The Rumble 500 combo goes plenty deep and will handle a low B with ease. Be sure your gain structure is properly set up with a good amount of volume on the master. Run a search of this thread for 'Rumble Talks' as they contain a ton of good intel.

I am one that believes the 15/210 setup is a better option. My reasoning is that the 410 will suck up most of the power, and leave the 15 whimpering. Just my 2 cents.
