Fender Rumble Club

It takes about a month for a container ship to sail from Indonesia to California. Not sure how long it takes to unload and clear customs & national security. Then trucked inland to Fender's distribution center in Ontario, Calif. August 12th is the anticipated arrival date at the warehouse.

Fender was obviously unprepared for the consumer response they've received for these amps. Luckily I have a practice BA 108 at school and a Rumble 150 here at the house to play around with. It looks like I'll have to wait. :(

Fender knew by the extremely positive response by professional bass players at Winter NAMM in Jan 2014 that they had hit a Grand Slam. Plus pre-order sales were astoundingly strong! So strong in fact that several shipments were required to meet demand. Indeed it has only been recently that major e-tailers had enough Rumble stock on hand to be shown as 'in stock' online.

Hard sales statistics won't be available for another quarter, but Fender Rumbles are outselling all competitor's total bass amp + combo output. Speaker cabinent sales excluded.

Both American Musical Supply, and ZZounds are still showing Rumble 40; 100, and 200 combos in stock.
Sweetwater, and Musician's Friend are both showing Rumble 40, and 200 combos in stock. Rumble 500 combos seem to be out of stock everywhere.

I did a quick check of Sweetwater and they are showing both Rumble 200, and 500 heads in stock along with Rumble 115 & 410 speaker cabinets.

 Rumble On!

For those of you wondering if the Rumble 500 combo and Rumble 115 extension speaker cabinet play well together, I ran across this review at Sweetwater:

"Holy cow! Am I really hearing what I'm hearing?
I just got this cab in today along with my new Fender Rumble 500 combo. The combo alone is sweet, but when I plugged this cab into it, my world began to rumble!

I simply cannot believe that something so small and lightweight can produce this kind of tone, thump and volume. I used to have a Hartke stack (4-10s/1-15) with a 1,000 watt amp, and this setup runs circles around the Hartke.

If you are looking for a compact cab that won't break your back, yet give you the sound you have only dreamed of (at a price that is unheard of), this is the cab to get!"

and now I want a Rumble 500 combo & Rumble 115 cab rig too!!! :woot:

:D Rumbles Rule! :D

Yesterday, based on this thread comments, I ordered a rumble 100 V3. My shop told me it is back order until the end of august in Canada. They offered me the rumble 40 they had in stock. I told them I would think about it. I did not had the chance to try the rumble 100 and I enjoyed the 40 very much. It's only for home playing and practicing. Should I wait for the 100?

Waiting for my second free Rumble amp from Fender! My rumble 200 has done wonders with my Uber 410 and I cannot wait to try my soon-to-be-owned rumble 40. I pretty much have everything set flat with the "vintage" (aka slight bass boost) always on. Uber cabinet with tweeter at 12. Cuts through and fills the low end well. Hard to find faults besides the somewhat unexciting aesthetics.

I won't advise you one way or the other, but if you can wait five weeks when what maybe a slightly less desirable alternative is available, you're a better man than I am.

For the record, I have the Rumble 40 and love it. I have played in coffee houses with it. However, if my financial situation would have been slightly different, I would have bought the 100. I limited what I could spend to what I could get for an Ibanez AEB 5 and a set of Sabian hi-hats. Of course, then there would be another 4 pounds to lug around.

Either way, you're a winner! Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, bassman74! You are member #196:hyper: I like the Rumble 100 very much with it's more than twice as much power and smoother sounding Eminence 12" woofer. The Rumble 40 is a good sounding little amp for personal practice. I wonder if you could work a deal to where you could have the Rumble 40 to use until the Rumble 100 arrived? Buy the 40 now and trade it in on the 100 later? Sure this would cost you some additional $$, but think of it as Rumble Rental ;)

Did all of us who bought Rumble 40s have great timing, or what? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Rum40

It's still worth the money, but $20 is $20. I wonder if and/or when the prices on the other Rumble v.3s will increase.
Wow! Thanks for pointing that out, Orangeclawhammr. This may just be a Sweetwater thing, or perhaps Fender is adjusting the prices upward since demand is so strong. We'll just have to wait and see what the outcome is. It's only been about 90 days since the new Rumbles hit these shores. Whenever demand outstrips supply, prices rise.

Anyone that is 'still on the fence' vacillating should place their order now! Just in case prices rise across the board. I know that the demand for Rumble 500 combos & heads both is crazy strong. Rumble 100's are a runaway hit.

:hyper: Rumbles! Get Your Rumbles Here! :hyper:

I got an email from Sweetwater saying that the V3 Rumble 500 combo is in stock - of course, I got really excited as they have been sold out everywhere. I went to their website and sure enough it said they are in stock! Being the good husband I am, I called the wife to make sure she was cool with me spending $500 on a new bass amp. She called me back an hour later and gave her blessing. I immediately went on Sweetwater.com and.... sold out!!!

I guess I should have abided by the old adage: it is easier to ask for forgiveness then it is for permission.

Well Damn! That bites! Sweetwater is always first on my list too, JustLikeJerico, but how about the other e-tailers? Fender Rumbles are selling hand-over-fist, especially the 500's.
How about this? Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, JustLikeJerico! You are member #196 :hyper:
