There are just too many posts on this thread to search, so I need to ask a possibly redundant question. But first a preface:
I divide Caberet's into two groups: Those that actually have the "oakey" taste and the cheap ones that pretty much taste like red table wine. Obviously there are subtleties in each group, or at least the former. So, I see bass cabs the same way. There are those that produce DEEP bass you can feel, and those that really don't.
I've found that even an Acme 1x10 can produce this depth, though can't shake a room, obviously. And I came across an old Peavey 1x18 that could also do this if in the right room. Meanwhile, I've also come across a lot of quite large and expensive cabs that, though they could shake the room and play excruciatingly loud, could not really satisfy my need for the "feel" it depth of a low B string at any volume.
So, how do the Rumble cabs do in this regard, especially in small to medium sized venues? Am I barking up the wrong tree even looking at them for this?
i.e. are they mainly deep, or mainly loud?
