Fender Rumble Club

Anyone else think someone asking $175 for an sx p bass, even with the older headstock, is a bit steep? Pretty sure its a pawn shop listing, they seem to either have great deals, or overpriced cheap stuff. Ocd says, a backup p bass is needed, wallet says, in your dreams!

Bassman 800 Amp: Launching August 2016

Designed for the ultimate bass-playing experience, the Bassman 800 offers two versatile channels and extreme Fender tube tones, while mating perfectly with Fender Bassman Pro Neo speaker cabinets. The foundation of the Bassman 800’s tone is the two-channel tube preamp, which utilizes a pair of premium 12AX7 tubes. The lightweight (17-lb), 800-watt hybrid amp also includes Vintage and Overdrive preamp channels, XLR line output, tuner output, an effects loop and a footswitch for hands-free channel switching."

But it won't be tweed...

That's OK. I love the classic black-face design too.
I think Fender is brilliant for taking their beautiful-sounding pre-amps/tone-stack and feeding it to ICEpower modules! This is exactly one of the kinds of applications that Bang and Olufsen had in mind for these modules.

I also think Fender is brilliant how they have engineered and marketed the two lines (Bassman and Rumble) with sensible compromises in the Rumbles and full features in the Bassman. And especially with the Rumbles, how they have a product for every price point with an aspiration path to upgrading your gear in the future. I started with the Rumble 40 and liked what I heard so much that now I am being featured in the next episode of Invalid Link Removed!

I wish my phone didn't get stolen, other than the final show of the R40 tour in decent HD being on there, was a picture of a bowl of udon from a Japanese food court (mitsua off bristol, scott), and it said bukkake. Bukkake! Didn't make me want to order one, not the kind of sauce for me.

Dude!

Hey, if you're in the area, check out Diamond Jamboree. Primarily Asian restaurants and seriously the real deal. CoCo Ichibanya is an awesome Japanese fast-food take on curries. It's an immersive cultural experience! Their menu is like a comic book and you work your way along a path, crafting your creation. CoCo has restaurants in LA too: south bay, downtown, and west LA. You choose how spicy hot you want on a scale from 1-10. I've been eating Mexican all my life and anything past 5 is pretty f'in' serious!

Sounds spendy

After nearly a hurricane's worth of wind and rain these past couple of weeks, Sunday looks to actually be a sunny day. I have every intention of getting my Fender Family out to a photographically congenial spot for never before taken family photos. Hang Ten! :)

Yikes! :nailbiting: That certainly sounds like a lot of ambition! Or is it just pent-up cabin fever.

I guess I'm pretty ambitious today too:
  • Now: Guitar Center for warranty work on J-Bass.
  • 2 hours from now: Memorial service for friend with open bar and high-end 'hores ovaries.
  • After that: My favorite band GrooveSession playing in Huntington Beach at 7:00.

This just posted on Angeline Saris' facebook page: "Flew out of SFO at 6:30 AM and watched the sunrise from the airplane. Landed in Phoenix and spent a super fun afternoon at Fender trying out an exciting new bass amp, . . ."

I really like my Rumble 500 combo, which interrupted my saving for a Bassman 500. Now, I have a new savings target! But, I really like my Rumble 500 combo.

Unless you really want the Super Bassman front end there is no real reason to change.

I'm totally in love with my Fender Rumble 200 combo. Unless I needed to move more air and achieve greater SPL, I wouldn't change. Headroom Shmedroom. I've got the sound and volume I need.

A Warwick bass player and they tune to 432, I have to check them out sometime. Probably not today, my sleep schedule is all wacked out.
