My bad, thanks. Forgot about price increase. That makes the 500 head and 4x10 an even better deal.Fender Rumble 210 cabinet is $349.99
Fender Rumble 210 2x10
Let's not forget my personal favourite: weight. I compared the weight of these options a while back (see original post here) and found that the 500 head and 410 cab was not only the cheapest, but the lightest option. You omiited one option I will include for price comparison.
Yes, that is correct. The twin Rumble 210 cabinets are the way to go if $$$ are not an issue.Since the Rumble 4x10 is 8ohm, does that mean the 500 head would only be putting out 350 watts (roughly) with that set up?
I thought you liked the 12s.Yes, that is correct. The twin Rumble 210 cabinets are the way to go if $$$ are not an issue.
I do. And 15's. But @BlackCatBassman asked specifically about 10's, so 10's it is!I thought you liked the 12s.
I'm one of those guys! I also like the 112's for lighter weight and smaller footprint at the same price.I've heard some guys favor the 2x115 cabs @ $299.00 ea.
I'm leaning that way with a r115 ext cab with the r200c. hard to believe it can sound better than my r210 ext cab. Maybe I can serve (2) gods;-)I'm one of those guys! I also like the 112's for lighter weight and smaller footprint at the same price.
You can't serve God & Money, so give up $$$ and make a joyful noise.Maybe I can serve (2) gods;-)

The 10s have good bottom. They should also have better high end response. @Linnin can probably quote numbers on this.I was also checking out the options of two 1x12 and two 1x15. I've been hearing that the 10s have plenty of bottom end but I do love a warm, round sound so I'm not sure...
And what about 2 4x10 cabs?![]()
It's super easy to find out which you like best. A/B the Rumble 500 & 200 combos. Both have the very same drivers as in the 210 and 115 cabs. Amp front ends are identical into ICE Power sections. The cabinet dimensions are identical. The only differences are: driver size; number of drivers, and wattage. It's up to your ears as to what sounds best to you.I was also checking out the options of two 1x12 and two 1x15. but i can't. Fender doesn't publish frequency response numbers, and won't tell me either. You can go to the Eminence website and do some comparisons on like ceramic-ferrite magnet drivers. That will give you a good ballpark feel.@Linnin can probably quote numbers on this.
This is true- but Fender makes it so hard to choose between 10s,12s,15s, lots of good choices that all sounds great. Can't own 'em all- that's my struggle. It is the wise bassman that shops by ear and not by number.
