Beautfort is nice too.. but you just have to watch for all the marine life that is running around there!
Savannah and Charleston are both steeped in southern charm of the old south. Richmond used to be that way. You'd hardly know it today. Such a shame.
What I like about Savannah is it is coastal and the city is full of magnificent oaks with Spanish moss. I have this thing about trees, I always feel safe and calm among trees. When I lived in the Northwest, I loved to take hikes through the rain forests there. And there is the architecture. It makes me want to get a wide brim white straw hat, a cigar, and a cane and meander about town.
Parts of it are gorgeous. I am an avid offshore fisherman--so, I have to live coastal. However--Savannah is suffering from rampant crime. Dangerous place.

Used to be a jazz club at the Richmond Hilton back in the mid 80's. I played there for 2 weeks back in '86 with a jazz band from New Jersey. I met Johhny Cash there. He was freaking stoned.

Also met the dude that played the old man in SOAP. He was making a film where he was acting as Abe Lincoln in Richmond. He was there every night at the club. Can't remember his name--he was really a nice guy. Could have been 1987. Not sure on the year--long time ago.
Yeah, I got a couple but with the 115 its tone on loan from god.
