Fender Rumble Club

I guess I qualify too! Though most of my ancestors were Yankees, I had a Confederate General in there somewhere. I feel awful that I can't remember his name, but he did write a book about his wartime experience.
That would qualify you, but you have to present documentation to prove who they were and what unit they served with. I've had a few invitations, but I don't have that much interest nor the time to do it.

The combinations are endless!
While I am satisfied with the vintage blackface look of the Rumble v3, I could definitely see me experimenting with different grills. I would not go so far as to re-tolex the cabinets, but making some new frames and trying different cloth appeals to me. At the moment, I am severely constrained in shop space, so that project will have to wait. Plans are afoot...

I agree, the V3 series look fine but some custom look might be cool as well. Building some frames and nailing on some cloths shouldn't be so hard.
You could even use multplie grills to fit the style of the band(s) you are playing in.

I love the stealth grey verson - but if a love child between the old and new were on the cards, I could really go for the v3 cabinet, but with the black metal grille of the v2 and the flat logo of the v3.
One of the things that struck me about my Rumbles V3 is that the speaker cover is more aesthetic than meant for protection.
A metal grill would work better for that.

OK, I just had a revealing moment. I have been playing only through my Fender Rumble amps lately.
So I thought I would do some headphones practice to (fine)tune in on some (possible) playing issues and try to correct them.
I used my Zoom B3 as a DI without any effects and started playing.
Somehow it didn't sound right, I checked the tuning, tone and volume settings but it didn't sound right. Somehow a bit flat and farty.

Then I plugged into my Rumble 100V3 and there it was again :): the nice sound I enjoyed while playing.
BTW: I have no extreme settings: all EQ at mid, vintage button on and the gain at 4, master to suit my taste (and a comprimise to keep my GF happy :D).

I have always liked the Rumble amps but did not noticed before that their sound apparently became part of the sound I prefer.
Cool, with my humble Rumble setup :D

I spy a business opportunity for you: painting custom Rumble grilles.

I saw some dude in the "Action Shots" thread (I think) had like 14 Bassman cabs that he painted an entire galaxy/outer space theme on. He had the whole wall but apparently only uses a few of them and the rest are dummies. I think his band was called Loud Beach or something.

I have a Fender Rumble 500 Combo and recently during a show i dented the dust cap of one of the speakers, i tried using tape and vacuum but nothing happened. ... My question is, if i have to get a new speaker, what kind/model of speaker is the 10" in the rumble 500 combo. guitar center site says its "2x10" Eminence" ...

As others have said, it's a "Fender Rumble 500" speaker!

Which is to say, it can be ordered from Fender.

A couple o' years ago I replaced both v2 Rumble 350 combo speakers with v3 Rumble 500 speakers. (one was blown and the v2 inverted dustcap 10" was no longer available so I bought two new ones.) They cost the same as any of the other Eminence 10" (within reason) but none of the other bolt patterns matched. Now this wasn't some OCD moment; the hole patterns were off enough that several of the new holes would be on the feather edge of the existing cut-out.

So that's my experience with Fender replacement speakers.

Hello!
I have a Fender Rumble 500 Combo and recently during a show i dented the dust cap of one of the speakers, i tried using tape and vacuum but nothing happened. im taking the amp tomorrow to a repair shop to see of they can repair the dust cap. My question is, if i have to get a new speaker, what kind/model of speaker is the 10" in the rumble 500 combo. guitar center site says its "2x10" Eminence" but i dont know what kind of model or name is the 10" speaker or anything to be more specific so i can buy the same speaker model. hope someone can help me! i love my fender rumble 500 combo! thanks!!!

I'd see if you can get a new cap from Fender. If not try simply speakers. Or even eminance. I didn't see Eminance or Fender specific, but it's a heck of a lot less than a whole new driver: Speaker Dust Caps For Speaker Repair And Replacement

It's a good match for the 500 as well. :)
I put my two 112s powered by my 500 head at the rehearsal house. wow, what an amp. Keeps up with anything the guitarists throw at it, today it was a 50 watt Soldano and some purple thing with two 12s that was stupid loud. This rig generally sounds good in a room that is without doubt the worst sounding room in the history of bad sounding rooms. I'm usually chasing the volume, turning it down. and we're a loud band.

what an amp...

Hey guys, I was wondering about the new 112v3 cabs.I see they are rated for 500w programed and 250w continuous.

First question, what is this "programed" thing?

Second Question, will this work stacked with the 210 cab and a Rumble 500w V3 Head? Or a pair of them with the 500 Head?

Will the 500 blow them??? I assume only can get away with them paired due to the wattage. A single will probably get toasted since the 500 does 350w @ 8ohms.

"Program."
No "ed" on the end.

"Program" is the opposite of "continuous" and should probably be called "in short bursts". So 500w in short bursts and 250w continuous. Peak and average.

Both those combinations will work and they will work extremely well. See bdplaid's post right above your own. He LOVES the Rumble 500 head atop a pair of 112 cabs.

Not unless you are particularly abusive.

No. Even when you are playing loud Loud LOUD, the driver rarely sees the full 350 watts. Now if you are truly hell-bent on blowing your speaker, start like this: dime every single knob on both the instrument and the amp. GAIN: hard over. OVERDRIVE: Maximum. BASS: don't skimp. MASTER: beat it like a rental car. And so on down the line. With any luck you might be able to blow the amp as well as the speaker. Pro Tip: two words: "Power Chords."
________

I have to imagine that there is a room in Fender, probably down in some subterranean dungeon, where a guy wearing triple ear-protection takes every piece of Fender hardware and beats the living crap out of it, finding the limits of what it can take, electrically and physically. Wadda job, eh?!!! Boeing does the same thing with aircraft and the parts that go into them. Go to the middle of Arizona on a 120F/50C day and count all the pre-production Mercedes, Corvettes, Kias, etc. that are out there driving flat-out, seeing if the car can take it.
