Can't imagine needing anything else for the stuff I play. No regrets whatsoever.

500 head on top of 2 112's

yup. it's a beautiful thing.

From my experience, there are two stellar combinations of Rumble cabs...

The first is the two 112s plus a 500 head.

The second is some arrangement of two 210s - either two cabs and a head, or a combo with an extra 210 cab.

They sound different - the 12s are tighter and uber punchy with less super-low end.
The 210s have super low-end, punch, and to my ears are a perfect rock sound.
As I play in a more funky bluesey jazzy band, the 12s work better for me. But if I was doing more rock, I'd add a 210 cab to my combo.

"Program."
No "ed" on the end.

Not sure why it came out "Programed" Had to be something with my phone, which is odd. Unless I was in a stupor, which is possible.

"See bdplaid's post right above your own. He LOVES the Rumble 500 head atop a pair of 112 cabs."

Missed it! I wrote that question at 2am my time after waiting for a delayed flight with my wife. She was suppose to be there @11:30. She got held up getting her baggage. I was in the car waiting to pick her up and surfing the Fender site and other on-line sites. I think I hadn't refreshed the page when I asked, so I didn't see his post.

Thank you. not to be the d!ck that I am, but are people blind?

awesome!

Nope, not blind. Didn't see your post because my page didn't refresh. After I posted, it showed me 2 pages of post since the last time I had opened the page. I was on my phone at the time. But awesome to see that. I was concerned about the power handling with the 500 head. I've seen issues in the past with under powered cabs. And I'm not 100% sure of what the Fender gear can handle. So this is why I asked.

Linnin? You the Man, Rock on. How do those Neons feel on the fingertips?
They're fine. If you have skin toughened by years of playing on your finger tips or thick calluses, you really can't tell the difference between coated and non. Only a beginner or tender foot could tell.

Coated strings do clean up easy with an alcohol dampened rag. Neons give you a crazy cool look to your stage performance. They do last a little longer, but not twice as long.

I've come to find that I like the tone of GHS strings best. The only DR string that holds any interest for me is their Pure Blues set.
