Me too. Game 2 demonstraited the cubs need to pull pitchers sooner. They came close to giving up runs which would have boosted moral for the bad guys. It could have not ended well. I don't follow pro sports much so I dont the the coaches side of the coin. I did learn:Say what you will. I'm still rooting for the Cubs to win the World Series.
Thanks muchly! I am recovering well today, and get to venture out tomorrow for a short walk. I am not allowed to lift anything 10 pounds or more, luckily my Fender Jazz bass is a little lighter, and I really enjoyed playing this afternoon.Gotta add my well wishes to all the rest, Linnin. Hope whatever remedy you choose is successful.
It has been a long (3+ years) uphill battle. There remains an intense anti-Fender contingent here on TalkBass. Yet Love is stronger than Hate, and the sound quality of Fender Rumbles have overcome all the vicious hate speech.I've been frequenting the Rumble Club for some time and have noticed that there is a genuine fan base/sub-culture (dare I say cult like followingfor this product. Nearly everyone seems to have positive opinions, experiences and comments regarding these amps, even if they don't prefer the tone or some other aspect, the opinion remains favorable.
This kind of reaction is so common as to give rise to today's cult status of Fender Rumbles. The Fender Rumble Club has garnered nearly three quarter of a million views. Most of those since 2014 as the V3 Rumbles became available and stayed sold out shipment after shipment. The Fender Rumble Club grew 300% that year going from 98 members to 400. Today we are closing in on 700 members. Yes, we are a cult of greatness.OMG....Wow...This amp is just amazing..loud excellent sounding and super light...I've read were people say these things sound as good or better than amps costing several times more..IMO I couldn't agree more...if you're looking for a excellent sounding ridiculously loud amp...this is it..the band members were very impressed and commented on how it filled the jam room..well that's about all I can say for now and thanks to you guys on this thread educating me.![]()
Buy Both! Now, my only issue...a 2x10 or 1x15 rumble extension cab?

All of my playing is in an acoustic context, usually with ukulele players, with me on my UBass. Most of the time, in jam sessions my Phil Jones Double Four does the job. I've got a couple of gigs coming up in Farmers Markets and outdoor festivals. I've been asked to supply my own amp even though the rest of the group will use the PA. I've been considering a few options - I don't currently own a combo or amp plus cab that is loud enough.
One option is a used but nearly new Fender Rumble V3 500. I'm thinking that by itself that would be loud enough. Another option I'm considering is a Carvin MB 15 with MB 15 extension. I've also experimented with my Phil Jones Double Four using a Phil Jones Cub that I also own as a powered cab. That combination doesn't seem loud enough to me. I'd rather just carry one piece - which is appealing about the Fender. Generally for my purposes, a setup that would work for double bass will give me the sound I am looking for. A lot of folks seem to use Rumbles with double bass. Any thoughts on the Rumble 500 for a farmers market.
Hey Rumblers, I'm not one of you (yet) but I'm doing some investigation and may be joining your ranks.
My question is, has anyone used the current model Rumble 500 head into a pair of the Rumble 410 cabinets? If so, was the 500 watts enough to push a pair of the Rumble 410s? Were there any adverse effects ro this setup?
My delima is that my current rig, a Bmax T pre into a Crown XLS402 into an Avatar 212, is barely keeping up with my current gig, where I am competing with a 100 Marshall DSL and 412 cab, as well as a heavy hitting drummer. I've played several rumble combos in stores and while I love the tone, I wanted to know if anyone has tried the format I have suggested, as it would be a great sounding setup for a reasonable price and I assume loud enough to keep up with a loud guitarist. Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
