Which combo do you have ?My V3 Rumble 500 head has it too as does my combo and will start "exercising" the volume control before powering up now. Thanks for the suggestion and for letting us all know its a common problem.
Same here and others who mentioned it.On mine it only happens on the Master pot, but then again, that is the only one I turn to 0
It's been a while since I've post anything on this thread. a few weeks ago, I've been playing with my fender rumble v3 40 and I've came up with this setting. this setting gives me a warm overdriven bass sound with smooth lows. it's great for metal music as well as any other genre requiring warm bass sounds. here's my setting.
Gain: 10:00
voice: contour
drive: 9:00
level: noon
Bass: 2:00
lomid: 1:00
himid: 11:00
treble: 1:00
Master: unity level
Yes you can. I use a 100 when I'm playing a gig that has FOH support. The 100 becomes the stage monitor,I can probably line out to the PA, then, no?
Welcome Rumbler #753. The 100 and a MIM P are a great combination. Send a pic with the P and the 100, then Rumble on!Just bought a Rumble 100 to use with my MIM P-bass. I think it's the right size for the way I'll be gigging with it: mainly, I'm accompanying the local 50-60 voice community chorus along with piano (and occasionally drums). One outdoor performance for a couple of hundred people, two indoor performances in a local church with maybe 200-250 seats.
The way to do this is to plug one end of a cord into the Effects Send of the amp you plug your bass into (The Master). Then plug the other end into the Effects Return of the other amp (The Slave). You will only need to use the controls on the Master. The Slave's preamp is bypassed.I recently bought a Rumble 100 V3 and love it! Perfect for the Bluegrass project I am in right now. Was pondering the idea of adding another Rumble 100V3 and using them together at outdoor gigs. Figure 200W with 2x12's should sound sweet. Is there a way to daisy chain them together? Is that what the AUX in/out jacks are for? Please excuse my ignorance, have never done nor thought of doing anything like this before.
Had you sent the amp to an authorized Fender repair location, you probably would get one that has no problem, but we still consider you one of us.Unfortunately, for now anyway, I am no longer a member of this club. I loved the sound of my 500C, but the scratchy volume knob was unacceptable to me. I returned mine and tried 3 more in store, and they all had the same issue. The GC associate called Fender to inquire and they claimed to know nothing about, so I got my refund and moved on. If there are issues with a used amp, I can understand and tolerate to an extent. But there's no way I can accept a brand new out of the box amp to have issues- let alone the 4 that I tried.
It's a real shame. I'm sure I'll join again one day, even if just for an at home practice amp, but as for now, I'm rumbleless.

Since the Rumble doesn't have any pre/post switch for the DI out, how do you deal with your stage volume and what the FOH gets?
I don't, the sound man does.Since the Rumble doesn't have any pre/post switch for the DI out, how do you deal with your stage volume and what the FOH gets?

Yes! I'm much better. Thanks for asking.Any updates on Linnin?
Cardio Day at the Salem VA hospital went exceedingly well this afternoon.EKG shows a slight arrhythmia still, but much better than last year. New echocardiogram also excellent with no evidence of atrial fibrillation at all!
