Fender Rumble Club

All those options would be nice, but you have to go to a higher price point to get them.
You do have a point, but I really don't change my gain during a gig. I just dial it in for the room and let it go. The only time I might adjust it is if the crowd becomes very large or very small. People soak up some sound.

Haven't gigged with mine yet, just playing with it since getting it this past Monday. I thought it was interesting how you can control compression with the gain knob, but only when in vintage mode.

Otherwise, I'm with ya'll about not messing with anything much once set. That's always been my way, too.

I miss my late seventies to early eighties gigs. We just used a Sunn Alpha 4 channel 100 watt powered mixer for the vocals.

Usually just drums, bass, and two guitars. Our soundman was the drummer's brother. The PA board was on the stage. He just sat in the middle of the room and listened to the first tune and then told who to turn up or turn down and from there on we just rolled with it. Didn't need monitors or earplugs because we played at sensible volume.

Don't remember anyone to tell us to turn up.

I had quit using the vintage with my Bongo when playing bass. I had mentioned I was looking at getting a 210 because when I play my guitar/bass setup---something was just missing from the bass.

I re-tried the vintage setting and moving the gain to 12 o'clock. It sounded much better. I may not need the 210---but, may get it....just because....

Yep. My Markbass 121H doesn't have a line level control, so I've had to work with the sound man.But my LMIII head has one, and it's a real blessing. And when the sound man is an idiot I can adjust what's in the house myownself from my head, LOL.
I have a xlr male to female that has a switch that knocks the level down by 20,30 or 40 dB

Yea never mess with my gain after soundcheck. I let our sound guy who's da man when it come to getting us dialed in adjust FOH volume. We use in ears except our drummer, so our stage volume is down. I generally run my gain and volume around 11 o'clock. It's plenty where ever we play in or outside.

When you say "post everything", you're also including volume, correct?

I hooked my Rumble up to my Focusrite Saffire (USB audio interface) when I first got it and my recollection is, the DI is post EVERYTHING, including volume. I certainly could be wrong, because it was 2 years ago.
I think it is, but someone else said it isn't. I'll have the check that out.
