Fender Rumble Club

When you say "post everything", you're also including volume, correct?

I hooked my Rumble up to my Focusrite Saffire (USB audio interface) when I first got it and my recollection is, the DI is post EVERYTHING, including volume. I certainly could be wrong, because it was 2 years ago.

I think it is, but someone else said it isn't. I'll have the check that out.
Here's the rumble block diagram once more: as I trace it, the bass output goes through the input-bright-gain-vintage-drive-MASTER-contour-EQ-(FX SEND & RETURN)-high pass filter-limiter-speaker cab sim-line out (or DI).

BTW: I'm no tech, correct me if I'm wrong :)

So, I just got the greenlight to pretty much get anything I want.

I could go all out for anything now...another bass....maybe a Fender P MIA? Check

Rumble 210---no a 410----check......

A pair of 410s for my sax rig with a 500 head? Check

....the secret to my wife's happiness?

I just agreed to take in 2 boys from a broken home. Had to give up some peace....oh well. Worth it!

lolololol

the cab sim is specifically for the XLR output.
And also for the headphone output, if I'm correct.
If you check the diagram, the signal is split after the FX RETURN.
Path 1 goes to the speaker cab sim-headphone amplifier-phones output.
Path 2 goes to the 'big plus sign in circle' which flows to the HPF-limiter-cab sim-line out.

edit: to my knowledge, in electronics schematics, crossing lines don't state a connection of signal paths, just the dots do.

You are correct, sir!

I really appreciate the level of tech/electronics knowledge here regarding Rumbles. To confirm though, for those of us who can't read a schematic (or don't care to ;)), I plug my bass into "input", dial in Gain, vintage/contour/bright, Drive, EQ-- and EVERYTHING goes to FOH via the XLR-- EXCEPT "Master Volume"-- which controls stage volume only. Is that correct? If not, please clarify. Thanks!

Also, what is the cab simulation that "only goes through the XLR". Thanks again!

Nope. While the master is the last knob, it is not last in line, it is before the contour and eq even, signal chain wise.

The simulator is so the direct xlr and headphone outs sound as if they were a miked cabinet.
