Fender Rumble Club

Referring to the v2 as the lower sensitivity I assume?
No. Just opposite. Neodymium are the strongest permanent magnets known to mankind and are 'Rare Earth Magnets'. That makes them very efficient with high sensitivity. Ceramic-ferrite magnets are cheap and easy to make & mold in any shape. Basically mud/clay with iron filings mixed in later magnetized in an electric coil. Just like in science class when you magnetized a nail by passing it through a wire coil connected to a simple battery.

Just like every other man made product, there is good and bad and mediocre. The Eminence made ceramics are excellent and are 'best of breed'. Others are cheap; weak, and lazy. Good examples are the cheap China made Peavey combos. Ditto ampeg; Behringer, and Acoustic.

If you are talking V2 ceramics vs V3 Eminence ceramics, then I would simply say the Eminence do sound better, but that the V2's still sound good. There are no publicly available measurements to make any kind of scientific evaluation between the two. Which is actually just fine because you can't read numbers on a page and tell me which speaker or amp sounds better. We need science, but it always takes a back seat to art. When we musicians are in the 'arting' (yes I know this word doesn't exist, so what) mode, science needs to shut up and listen. Leo Fender spent a lot of time listening to musicians evaluate his products and verbalize their desires for new and better amps and instruments. Today's Fender is doing much the same to a certain extent. At least we have a bass player, Dave Lewis, engineering our bass amps for us.

Back when I used to be a photographer, I shot this frame of 'The Soldier's Cross' at the national D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia.

When I visited DC a few years back I stood at the Vietnam Memorial, it was one of the most moving moments of my life. It just comes over you so hard. A guy I knew who lived 4 houses down from us is on that wall.

Cool, I didn't know you used to be a photographer.
It comes and goes for me actually taking pictures but I always took an interest in photography.
I recently sold all my gear and turned $5,000+ worth of photography equipment into $630 cash. I hadn't tripped a shutter in years. My clinical depression has robbed me of most of the joy in life. Planning my funeral is the driving force to sell off most of my music gear also.

Thank You All. I'm just riding in the back seat right now. The entire Rumble Club is now the driving force. It is easily seen in the many positive posts in many other threads. The Fender Rumble Club has changed TalkBass for the better, and every member has played their part willingly. Rumble On!

Linnin we talked a few way back when I joined. Have not been on to much, but wanted to let you know I grew up in Va Beach and from one to another I will keep a prayer for you my bass/Va brother.
Thank You @LennyJ, I appreciate that. My health has improved and I am in better shape right now than I was this past Christmas. But just like any cardio disease it can change in a heart beat. I want the switch to flick from on to off just that quick like breaker. Only no reset.

I liked this post and then un-liked it so I could like it again. <Like>

I am planning a military funeral for myself and I've been casket shopping! I think I like this one best. $2000 What do you think? Dignified, right?

Looks good. My dad passed away from lung cancer 6 weeks ago. He had his funeral planned and paid for almost 10 years ago. It was a blessing for all those immediate decisions to have already been made for me and the rest of the family. We could grieve and basically go on autopilot for a few days before we needed to start putting things back together.
