Fender Rumble Club

Well, of course I would hide the vast majority of my stash. I'd have one good bottle out for your visit and then have an ordinary bottle in the cabinet just in case you are really thirsty. ;)

Only after I got you really looped would I pull out my non-Fender basses and geetars.
Just start with full sealed (bluesman's creed) bottle of Blanton's and a well aged box of Havana Montecristo #4's (I like coronas best). Then another bottle of Blanton's in the reserve. Life's Good! :smug:

I agree. It all matters ... to a degree.
Who among us hasn't watched in awe as a maestro picks up an absolutely beat instrument (Kay?) and made it sing?

I knew my treatise (rant!) would stir things up a bit! :smug:

I'm dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to recording but when I got my little H4 Zoom recorder I recorded the same chord progression and brief solo with a plywood top Taiwan Black Label Yamaha, my $2,000 Gibson J 150, and my buddy's Martin D-28.

He hooked everything up to his desktop and we left the room while his wife put the audio files on the desktop in random order.

He had some killer JBL desktop speakers on each side of his monitor and when we listened to all three a few times we both agreed on the same one as sounding the best. His wife chose the same one as sounding best too.

The $70 Pawn Shop Yamaha was the one that sounded the best recorded with the zoom built-in mic :meh:

Just don't get him looped and pull out an Ampeg bass head. He would probably start spinning around like a Tasmanian devil throwing round houses

Unreal, I love those but they are so hard to come by in Ohio. I make do with Arturo Fuentes 858 Maduros (when I can get them) and Fuentes Don Carlos, and one of the most underrated cigar of all time, Hoya de Monterrey Excalibers, # 6 preferably.

Can anyone who followed my new precision bass posts advise in regards to whether or not a waterslide decal would create any issues with that particular finish ? Or for anyone who didn't see those posts it is a hand rub Staind with a satin lacquer top coat.

Talking about putting one on the body of the guitar.

Now I'm intrigued!

It is a VERY long story involving a certain mafia from an island south of Miami. The boat was stolen for 4 years. I tracked it for all that time and got it back when it entered the US again. The Miami-Dade police upon my request impounded the boat--with a ton of evidence I produced. The boat was in a major boat manufacturer's plant when it was seized.

That manufacturer copied my boat verbatim. Between a deal with the Miami police and assurance of no retaliation--I got the boat back. Miami-Dade asked me to please go away and not sue because the case is far bigger than my boat. Well--my family and I are at peace.

If you show my sig picture to any offshore fisherman--he will probably recognize who this manufacturer is.

btw--here she is sitting in front of the "business" when the police seized her:

Its a beautiful and rare finish that I personally would not apply a decal to....however i think the spot where the decal was applied would be ruined if removed(someone correct me if i'm wrong).

You could put another decal on the body if you wished. No harm will come of it. Over time it will peel or flake off if not kept waxed. Your headstock decal is under the clear top coat, and is safe from most elements except sandpaper.
