Scotch's post 149 pretty much nails it.
I tested mine with a Bongo HS, A Fender P5 and a Waterstone 12 String. This pedal is amazing.
To get more specific on what makes this magic is the crossover. I set mine for 2 O'clock on the bottom of the pedal, which, to me, works best for my basses.
Like Scotch mentions: It's Fuzz, on the Muff Side. When you put the big wheel toward the middle, (yellow), yes..it does take on a sweet saturated distortion sound, very musical. You can get Sheehan type howl with it or sweet dirt. It is alot of fun.
Yeah it's big, but you appreciate it moving that knob with your foot.
