Fender Super Bassman Question

I was hoping for some help. My dad found a Fender Super Bassman 200 watt head on Craigs List for 50.00. When he got to the guys house, he said he'd take 20.00 for it. We got it home and it works fine. The material on the front is starting to fray, but not too bad. Any idea what this thing might be worth? I'm thinnking of buying it from him just because I know he'll give me a good deal on it.

i've never heard of a super bassman 200 watt? is it tube or solid state?

Well worth having serviced! I doubt it's a 200W head - the only Super Bassman models I know of are 100 or 135W: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. Peak power was rated over 200W, but that's not RMS power.

But either way, pair it with an efficient speaker and it would be a really nice amp with decent power.
