Fender Vintera III

I am interested to see what less common models they make. We know they will do a Jazz and split coil Precision. I expect to see a 50s style single coil P given they have done American and Squier versions recently. Not sure that they could do another Mustang without it just being the same bass in a different finish (I know they do this with the P and J, but Mustang is not as popular as a P or J).

I will put a Bass V and an 80s style two pickup Elite Precision on my fantasy list (fully not expecting them to offer either).

Looks like all the others to me with exception of the stacked knobs. Which are cool.... no, I should just say that they are "different". In my experience they are a skoshie heavier so they could help w balance / neck dive issues. But other than that, its just a rebranding of the same old 60 J-bass

I'd bite for a "Long Horn" - Ash body (light) - Long upper horn to provide great balance - ideally under 9lbs - truss rod adjust at the headstock - blocks n binding on the fretboard (2 octave range)- some big nasty foreign design bridge - 35" scale (yet with a shortened overall length) ..... ok, ok.... I got carried away.

How long has the Vintera II line been around? 18 months maybe?
Press release announcing them was September 19th of 2023.

If they keep discounting at the end of the run like have the Vintera and Vintera II, then it is probably worth the ~24 month wait to get one at 30%-50% off. I bought my Vintera Mustang half off when they were clearing them out for the Vintera II. Was tempted to buy a Vintera II Telecaster bass on the recent discounts, but I just do not need it.
