FIFA World Cup 2014

TBOT World Cup Predictions Game Final League Table

Gentlemen, the Final League Table.
Only Darth predicted the Final result correctly, so Man Of The Match for the Final for that one.

Congratulations to jrthebassguy, overall winner of the competition and it has to be said, well done to the US contingent.
Thanks to everyone for taking part and joining in a bit of fun.
The destination of the Heroic Bawbags is now known

JR, if you can please PM me with ahem, waist size (in inches) and an address where your trophy pants can be delivered , they will be on their way to you as soon as possible!

I am humbled and honored to be the best bawbag of them all! You are the best, Martin. Thank you for running this little competition, it's been a lot of fun and I enjoyed taking part in it.

I imagine shipping from Ireland to Texas won't be cheap. As such, I insist on paypal-ing you whatever the shipping cost is (or online money service of choice). Shipping/info etc. shall be forthcoming.

Pffft. Whateverz.

You once said I was "clueless" about football. I hope the irony isn't lost on you. :)

(Love you, Titus)

That was a fantastic match!

I won't lie, I was worried about Germany for awhile. While they had more possession throughout the match, Argentina was playing a fantastic defensive game and never gave Germany an easy chance on goal. On the other hand, Germany's passing game, particularly in the midfield, was world class in its own right, and they never gave Argentina the chance to take over, other than the few breakaways they managed to take. The ending was grueling, and you could tell both teams we're suffering from fatigue. Ultimately, Germany came out ahead - like I've been saying they would this entire time ;):p

You must have more to say than that, my friend......
It seems like you are the local American soccer guru-knowledge-dude. Maybe you can answer some questions.
1. Is it like in American football where the quarterback can throw the ball with his hand?
2. Is Lionel Messi related to Lionel Richie?
3. The World Cup trophy is shaped more like a trophy than a cup. Why is that? Why don't they just call it the World Trophy?
4. If the English invented the game, how come England did so poorly? America invented basketball and we are very good at it. This is so puzzling.

Oldest international fixture in the world returns on the 18th November in Glasgow, 'mon :)

Yep, just four days after Scotland v Ireland in the Europeans - course we would have to get the Germans in the group as well!

"....and sent him homeward, tae think again....."

Now if ever there was a potential venue/event for a TBOT Football meet up...........

Haha, that's be awesome!

Aye, not going to be much of a fight for top spot in that pot. Though I'm looking forward to the games, Strachan seems to be turning the international team around, would be nice to see Scotland actually qualifying for a tournament again.

What's all this then?

I thought you were an egg chaser? I understand chipping in to the WC thread, but you are in danger of being taken seriously as a football fan.

Choose. You can't do both.
