FIFA World Cup 2014

You listening to 606?
Naw, just watching the build up to the next pair of matches.
On a more serious note...I hope the Suarez apologists here - you know who you are - have finally seen him for what he really is.

Not that I need it, but the sense of vindication is overwhelming.

Utter, utter scumbag.

I'm going to check out lfcreds later to see if their heads are still up their asses regarding Suarez.
RAWK claim Chiellini dug his fingernails into his own shoulder.....

Yes.
I cannot wait for someone to interview Brendan Rodgers.
"He made me grow as a person"......

I have to agree with Titus - in nearly 50 years of watching football, I cannot think of any player who has been a worse disgrace to our game than Luis Suarez. I've seen them all, and he is the very worst. Off with his head.
He's actually, somehow made Barton look like some sort of an acceptable human, almost.

The Invalid Link Removedseems to be in agreement that there is no defense for his actions. I've made excuses for his diving (it's a chronic problem in the sport, and Italy made their share of dives today as well) and I made excuses for the Ivanovic bite, but I can't keep defending this guy anymore. I hope he never puts on a LFC kit again.

Thanks for that - well done to you sir.

I remember the Leeds side of the early 70s - Hunter, Bremner and the like. None of them were even close to Suarez in terms of their behaviour ("Dirty Leeds"), and they're widely regarded as the worst example of this sort of stuff ever to spoil the image of the game.

This is from ESPN's website:

If Luis Suarez is suspended, how long should his ban be?

  • 41% Rest of the World Cup
  • 11% Remainder of 2014
  • 21% One year
  • 26% Lifetime
I was originally thinking the "Rest of the World Cup" but on second thought "Remainder of 2014" sounds about right.

I've been on catchup due to circumstances so was out of the discussion for obvious reasons.
Can't add anything that's not been said already, this lunatic scumbag has disgraced his clubs in the past and now does it to his country.
I can't see how he can possibly get a lesser punishment than Eric Cantona - he had a rush of blood in the face of vile provocation. This louse has now done this three times - he obviously has mental issues in this regard.
Given his history he should be banned from domestic football anywhere for the entire '14 -'15 season and banned from International competition for 2 full years.
He should also have to undergo psychiatric assessment and treatment and his return should be dependent on psychiatric recommendation.
Someone who thinks he can continue doing these things, knowing that he will be caught and punished and that his behavioir is utterly abhorrent, needs treatment. He is a danger to others on and off the football field.
And in that I am trying to be as objective as possible given my past comments on the little scumbag.
