I was at a small-town dance one time in the 1970s where the dance band was called 55 Street Boogie. They did the "Graffiti Band' 50's schtick, you know, leather jackets, greased hair, black t-shirts, motorcycle boots.

The men in the audience were loggers and fishermen, mostly thick-headed dumbasses and drunk too, so they took this band's costumes as serious and thought they were tough guys trying to pull their women. So on the band break, the inevitable happened, the locals challenged band members and some shoving ensued and then a fight broke out between the band members and the audience.

My guitarist and I were scoping out a possible place to play, not even halfway through my beer, we hear this "crack crack crack" sound, one of the patrons whipping another one over the head with a cue stick over some money left on the bar. Never did play there lol...

I’ll play along.

Years ago I had a lovely wedding at the Stanley Hotel (yes the setting of the Shining) Estes Park CO. Alongside the ballroom is the tavern where a bunch of rowdy types had been drinking all day - they even razzed us during sound check.

Some hours later, these rowdies decide to waltz over and crash the very rockin’ reception. One of the groomsmen delivered a knuckle sandwich to one of the knuckleheads and after a very brief delay with some security guards and local police officers escorting out the rowdies, we proceeded to rock the party for the rest of the evening!

Looks like we're almost outta pics of vintage P basses.......

On TB?

Never gonna happen.

Seems like every other day someone posts an NBD that's yet another P bass that looks like every other P bass since the dawn of time. And then the chorus of "oooh, have you put flats on it yet?" I know, they're not all vintage, but who cares? With relic'ing being a thing, they all look the same anyway.
