Finally a "tele" style bass body.

Yea, I made one of those last year for my girlfriends daughter. Mine was shortscale, and so was Tim's. I've kinda always wanted a full scale one since then.

How did you get the neck to join up? From what I can see, that's an actual Tele guitar body (and the 6-string p'ups -- how does ~that~ sound?!) w/ an SX short scale neck on it. If that's all that's necessary, I've got a couple of banger Teles I'd love to experiment with!

I'm thinking the 6 string pickups sound fine. Under the cover, the toaster pickup on my 4001 has six pole pieces, and it sounds good.

You know it. My short arms are maxed out on a standard P or J.Love the tele look tho, maybe would go for a short scale.

Apologies for digging up an ancient thread here, but I have a Bronco bass neck w/tuners and was originally thinking of matching it with a Musicmaster body I have on hand. But I've always thought Tele bodies were cool so wondering if this would be a fun way to go, and I already have 2 Musicmasters so something different would be good too.

So any of you with more experience than me (none btw) on builds, would a rail style single coil pickup be good in that bridge position or would it be recommended back closer to the bridge?

I like this body, got me thinking is all.

Just saying, some cool Tele basses on here.
