Finally done with my FrankenFender.....I think! Pics!

Some of you TBers probably see some of your parts from the Classifieds and I thank you for that. :bassist:

Body is a Spear Flex Tool, Fender Neck, Fender neckplate, Fender strap pegs, EMG Passive P/J HZs, EMG Passive MM HZ, Schaller Tuners, Pearl Topped Chrome Knobs

Set up Tone/Volume/Volume/Volume, also has an on/off switch.

Strung with Blue Steels.

I am sure some of you will HATE the color, but I rather like it....gets lots of compliments.

Next step is replacing the volume pots and tone pot.

I think it's a great looking bass. The pickup config is actually pretty cool too.

Thanks guys.

The pup configuration was the reason I bought the body actually....endless tonal possibilities.

I haven't ruled out putting like a Bart Jazz pup in it, and leave the EMG MM in there, and maybe something else for the P pups....then it would really have endless tonal possibilities. :D

I actually like the pickguard as is, and I generally think tort should be reserved for traditional 3t bursts. I kinda like the whole turtle thing you've got going on there ... green base, tortoise shell guard.

Pickups look like fun, too!

Yeah looks steller, like the green. Looks like that jazz pup should have been further ahead or even behind the MM next to the bridge though. How does it sound?

The jazz pup sounds pretty good where it is actually...I was kind of worried about the placing of all of them, but really it is close to where a jazz pup would be in a normal P/J setup.

Sounds good. The cool thing is that you can turn any of the pups up or down and blend them all together, or turn them all the way down and use only the MM, or only the J, or only the P....

The EMGs make it a bit crisper...the original pups were a bit more organic sounding, but I like it now the way it is.
