Finally done with my FrankenFender.....I think! Pics!

boy is that thing ugly! way too many pups!! all those tone possibillities make it way to tough to play. Why don't you send it to me and I'l dispose of it properly for you?:D

It looks super cool! I wouldn't change anything.GREAT JOB!

Awesome bass! I was wondering what a bass with all three of those pickups would look / sound like.

Are they EMG Selects? How are they?

No, these are the EMG HZs....I was going to put active in there but that means I would have to route the back, but I have thought about moving to active and putting all the batteries, etc under the pickguard....there is room, again i would just have to route it.

But like I said earlier, I think I am eventually going to have a Bart P in it, keep the EMG MM, and put some other type of J...all at the same time....maybe a Nordstrand J....

Thanks for all of the comments guys! It is not clear coated either...so it doesn't shine...just a matte finish...which I also dig.

Congratulations - beautiful work. LOVE the concept of the TONE/VOL/VOL/VOL wiring!

My personal experience with EMG-HZ pickups leads me to speculate that your bass probably sounds fantastic. You don't need a J pickup at the bridge, just add a coil tap to the MM - in a push/pull switch on the volume for that pickup...... As if you didn't already have enough tonal possibilities....

Hmm....how do I hook up a coil tap? Do you have a link? All I have to do is run the MM pup to the push/pull? Or do I just replace the existing volume knob? Great idea!

... I am sure some of you will HATE the color, but I rather like it....gets lots of compliments. ...

Dude -- it looks like a WATERMELON!

Not exactly my cup of tea but it's cool in an unusual, funky kind of way. Rock it with pride and attitude! :hyper:
