Finally revisiting a fretless project

Ok…. I got slightly ambitious and worked on the the assembly table, as well as mounted the trim router bottom plate…..

I need to go to Home Depot tomorrow and get some screws to hard mount the rest of the t-track. Thought i had some… i was wrong. Oh well.

I went up to my primary wood supplier today to get some alder for an upcoming build.

Not far from there is a pawn shop that i haven’t stopped at for a while, so i thought I’d stop in, say hi, and see if they had anything interesting. Well…. They did !

i got this……. I didn’t really have it in my budget, but i couldn’t afford to leave it there at the pawn shop for the $65 i paid :D

For $65 it could die in two years and still have paid for itself.

Drilled for bridge wire (even though i wont need it with EMGs) ….
You can see the guide block i made. It guides the bit at 15 degrees, that way its consistent and i dont get any unexpected surprises of the bit wandering and going through the back !

also, loving this assembly table. Well worth the time and expense of building…

I also cut the nut slot. The pics explain the process. After the saw cuts the lines, go in with a chisel and clear the wood, then finish it up with a file.
