Double Bass Finding replacement screw bridge height adjuster for Full Circle

Hello,

I have a faulty Full Circle installed on my bass, I need to unmount it in order to send it to customer service (it's still under warranty). For this I thought the best idea was to find a replacement screw to mount in place of the FC. However I'm unable to find that kind of parts online. Maybe I don't have the right keyword.

It's especially complicated because I need the metric gauge 6x1mm, and I'm in Europe. I had no luck in my home language french, so I also wanted to search for it in english.

I'm surprised to see there is no easy solution for this. Faulty FC is not that uncommon (I found plenty of messages describing them), however no one talk of strategies to replace it in the meantime. How do people do this ? My luthier doesn't have spare parts or a spare Full Circle to lend me.

Call Fishman and buy one from them before you send it in (since it's under warranty, I'd ask it they'll send you one for free). They sell individual parts for the full circle (jack, etc.)

Definitely check with your local luthier if you haven’t already. Many have a drawer full of adjusters in various thread sizes.

I snipped the wire on my FC years ago when it failed and it works fine as an adjuster.

Thank you. My usual luthier didn't have adjusters, but I called another one in my area that did. So I think it's not easy for the general public to get them, but luthier surely have their won suppliers.

My FC crapped out after 9 months of use. Grr....
I called Fishman, and they graciously offered to send a replacement. I got a R/A number. While it was starting to die, I immediately got online and bought a Yamahiko! It is LESS MONEY than the FC, and I had it in 5 days from Japan with FREE shipping! A complete no-brainer.
I brought my bass to Joey Naeger, he installed the Yamahiko, and when the replacement (which was brand new) showed up, I sold it to my student for 200 bucks.
My tone is infinitely better! My net cost was less than 45 bucks to improve my tone drastically and they really never fail. Seriously dump the FC if you can, because it WILL die again.
All of this YMMV, IMO, carrots, etc.

Yes I am really considering this… even if my FC is under warranty, that's the second time I have a faulty contact problem in less than 2 years (and not in the same place, my first FC was replaced not repaired). I'm a professional musician, it's always going to be the wrong moment to have a failure. I thought this pickup was reputable, I've seen people saying they had it for years without any issue. Yet that's the best sound I've ever had with a pickup so I don't want to give up on that. Your feedback on the Yamahiko is much appreciated !

One side. Really, it's all I need. I swear though, after comparing the 2, there was only one clear choice for me.

I had a similar problem with the original Realist so after my second one I moved to a Realist Life Line. Problem solved. The Yamahiko came first and the Fishman
was in part a “re imagining” of the original design.

Yeah, I would have long since tried the Yamahiko, but the choice paralysis between the 1 and 2 element design has held me back. From what I have read and understand, though, the 2 element just introduces a whole world of complicated choices to avoid (or encourage) phase issues that I’d rather not consider.
