First amp you ever played through.

First real amp I played though was some kind of Fender 1x15 solid state combo mid 90's era. It was a nice experience, actual deep tone! Up until then I had only played through tiny guitar combos and rigged my dad's old school stereo.

I feel like maybe this is somehow destined to be the LAST amp I'll ever play through:

Greetings from the North,

The very rare exclusive highly sought after Radio Shack Realistic 15 inch Bass Combo amplifier!
Found under a crooked Xmas tree with a previously owned Harmony Bass back in ancient times.
That memory still makes me smile.
Thanks Mom. (Years later I found out she had played double bass in High School lol)

I still have a guitar strap my mom gave me for Christmas in 1972. No one ever has a better fan than Mom.

Veneman's Music 2x12 stamped frames. Half open back. EEK! Watts? It was loud at home but quickly wasn't when I immediately began playing in a band. I didn't know any better. Tone? It amplified my Kapa bass. That was it's accomplishment.

The good news was I went right to a Showman head and a B25 cab. So many bands were using a B-15. It sounded so rich alone or in the mix. Our Fenders were tepid in tone and volume. IMHO. But almost moments later the Traynors, bigger Ampegs (pre SVT), Olivers, Marshalls and Sunns showed us the way.

A good salesman at Chuck's calls me over, hands me a blonde Ric, plugs it into a Marshall Superbass 100 plexi with a 1935A and 1935B cab (4x12 slant & 4x12 straight front) basket weave grill that said "Bass" in corner. OH MY!! Then he says, "It's an Edsel, ahead of it's time." It was in America for just a bit.

"Got to get back in time!" :):):)

Dude where did you find my old amp!

no not really my old amp, but i did play a Peavey TNT 130 for my formative years, and it didnt look any better than that.
My first first amp was an old Fisher stereo receiver. then a beat old 60's Danelectro guitar amp that had the nickname "The HummBuzz"
Then came the Peavey....
