When I tested the functionality of the electronics the bass was only strung up with the B and G strings and they were tuned super low. All I did was run though the controls to make sure everything did what it was supposed too. To be honest, I wasn't that impressed. I think if you're a one string player who likes to tune down this isn't the bass for you.
Once I get it strung up with a new set of strings and give it a good setup it should sound much better.
One thing that did stand out was the lack of hum. Even with the treble knob max'd out, I didn't hear any hiss. I also didn't hear anything when the pickups were solo'd. I hate noise, so that made me feel good about the component selection.
It all looks great! I can't wait to see it strung!
