There's no way I could pull this off. The first flaw in this plan is that I don't own a vintage tool company where I can claim to be buying massive collections of hand tools for my business, yet somehow they all end up in my workshop.That's a good call. I've been fiddling around with this a little, I have no real intentions of using it other than just laying things out and probably measuring some things here and there. But, here's a drawing I did in AutoCAD -
The narrow plate doesn't cover up a whole lot of grain. FWIW, I like the telecaster statement.Part of me likes the idea of the standard chrome control plate making a "telecaster" statement, part of me doesn't want it breaking up the wood grain.
