Very nice!! I like the color *much* better than my "metallic teal" Roscoe Beck V. Mine is just light blue metallic... no hint of green.

First impressions: Valenti 5 string

Well, I played it in 2 church services today, through my BAM combo. Very full, rich sound. And the coil taps make the tonal options pretty staggering.
It is going to take a little time to figure out the tones that are right for me. The price you pay for versatility is the loss of a plug-and-play option.
Every setting I have tried with the pickups sound phenomenal, but I haven't find 'my' sound with it yet.
I will be taking it to rehearsal Thursday night to play it through my Basic Black combo.
And we have an acoustic gig next Sunday night. Hopefully the rest of the band will not get too upset at me for playing this one instead of my fretless.
I got tons of comments about the looks of this bass at church today. Everybody raved about the color, and a couple of people mentioned how great the whole package looks. Sherwood green finish, tort guard, and black hardware. It looks even better in person.

Sherwood green is beuuteefoo. I'm gassing for my own Warmoth bass now. I've spent the whole evening just scheming up ideas and wasting my time. Thanks for the GAS

i have made up my mind. my next bass is to be aValenti. but that wont be until after i get my first rig.
I love everything about the look of that bass, its a real hotrod! Nino, you are doing some great work I'm gassing for one of your basses big time. Jeff, I envy you getting to try it. Give us updates as you play it more and settle it to your favorite tones and settings.

Very minor quibble here, but that's only true because you haven't yet found your sound! My Fender RB5 has a similar amount of versatility but it's plug'n'play for me because my sound is the neck pup soloed in series mode.

How would you compare this bass to the ones you have in your stable OR even a Sadowsky or Ken Smith? Does is it have the same depth in tone does it cut as well? Inquiring minds want to know?
Well its still going to be a while. I'm playing a lot of guitar in my new band and since I have more bass gear than I need and just barely enough guitar gear I dont think I'll be buying a new bass yet.
What I have in mind though is a black P bass with P/J Nordstrand pickups, gold pickgaurd, maple neck with black binding and star inlays which would probably have to be done by someone else.
