First "rock gig"

There's time for a dress rehearsal for sure, I'm meeting with the BL at 11:30 to have a rehearsal with the drummer and soundcheck isn't until 5:30. For dress though I already know I'm doing black jeans, Asking Alexandria T-Shirt, maybe a decent belt.

Anyway I practiced on my own a bit today and tried to get into the songs a bit more so I'm gonna go give it a shot tomorrow and just see how it goes. Maybe post back here if it goes particularly well/bad.

And I don't know if this is against the rules or not (I'll remove it if it is) but if anyone's in Perth, Western Australia and wants to come we're at the Metro Church, 142 Beaufort St, Perth starting at 6:30. And here's the Facebook event with all the details https://www.facebook.com/events/520205781345661

Congrats!
A few things:
Put your cable through your guitar strap and through an amp handle so it doesn't pull during the gig incase you stray too far(I'm sure we've all done this . . .)
Make sure your guitar cable is long enough.
Bring extra extension chords & strips, you never know where the power is.
Don't forget to tune up before you go on.
Most importantly relax and have fun, it's better for you and the audience.
Good luck!

And I'm back. It was huge amounts of fun.

There was probably less than 50 people there but hey, everyone there really got involved and looked like they were having a good time. Once I was up there with a can of energy drink in me it was kinda natural for me to jump to certain bits and stuff. Only bit that felt forced was a spin I did and that was more because I had a lead to worry about while doing that.
Interestingly one of my favourite songs to play in rehearsal was actually my least favourite live by a long shot. It's just that little bit too complex for me to do more than a little walking around which just felt a little boring.

If ya can't jump around, spin etc then at least smile, laugh.
A couple of bass neck swings on tempo or at an accent help too.
Even if you not: just look like your having the time of your life. It really translates over to the audience.
As for the solos ya gotta practice on those when combining stage moves !
