First song you ever played on stage?

I think my first song on bass was 'Gel' by Collective Soul.

I'm pretty sure it was Good Loving by the Young Rascals, somewhere around 1966. Yes, they were the Young Rascals first. I was in Jr High, my first "official" band. Drummer, two guitars, keyboards (with his new Hammond, OH MY!) and me on Hofner bass. The most fun I've ever had in any band.

Had to be either Jump In The Fire by Metallica or I Remember You by Skid Row. Was about 25 years or so ago. Drummer completely lost us with in the Skid Row tune and we ended up playing the chorus about 37 times over and over and over. Apparently the name of the song meant nothing to him.

Circumstances by RUSH. 16 years old and we were playing at a battle of the bands. We had been in the basement for a year getting ready for just this show. Paid off in spades, we were playing bars and clubs 2 weeks later. We opened with Circumstances, then Roundabout by Yes, Running Free by Maiden and Desert Plains by Judas Priest.....never forget it, I was so psyched to play and tripped over my cord walking on stage......"Dork"

It was a standard, slowish "Rock en español" tune (you can watch it here: ). Not overly complex, and I was glad because I could focus a bit more on my demeanor onstage than on the bassline: I could see the people's reactions that way too.
