I guess I'll be dating myself a tad here but whay the hell........first song I EVER played on stage was "Wooly Bully" Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs....seems like it was in 1965?

Damn...been so long ago that I don't even remember...

I do not remember the first song I played on stage, but the second song I played, which was done not so well, was Fats Domino - Swanne River Bop on piano.

...and an original called "Eat Pills". Total thrash jam that we wrote. This was around the same time Ozzy was being sued for his song Suicide Solution, because some poor kid in a lonely space ended it all. Parents refused to man up and take some responsibility, so they tried to blame Ozzy.

We wrote Eat Pills to show some solidarity for Ozzy, and poke fun at the whole concept that music could destroy things, and not create them.

I remember it like it was yesterday...because it was yesterday: 7 Nation Army, followed by 4 Clutch songs, Low Rider, War Pigs, "Down" by STP, then a few Wiggles tunes.

It only took me 50 years to get on a stage - OK, it was a graduation party in my backyard - might as well have been Madison Square Garden.

Fruit Salad & the Big Red Car song are the ones I remember - something about Capt. Feathersword didn't work so well....the transition from Down to Fruit Salad was a bit difficult, but it was fun.

I do remember singing "Keep On Rockin' Me Baby" by Steve Miller and "Taking Care Of Business" by BTO with my brothers band at a dance when I was 13 or so, around 1977.



I really hate those songs now.........
