First song you ever played on stage?

If I remember correctly, it was either 'Living After Midnight' by Judas Priest or 'Hold the Line' by Toto at a high school talent show in 1982 or 1983. Can't recall exactly which one came first, but it was probably in that order.
We also played American Pie (the whole darn thing!), Tush, and a couple of others, but I can't remember them. Kind of a weird mix, really.

Time seemed to almost stand still and run extremely fast at the same time.
That was the extent of my stage fright, I've gotten over it long since.

My music teacher (rap/hip-hop artist Aaron King) picked the song "Time For A Change" by Hank Levy for the band to play, and it was my first time as the bassist for the Jazz band. this song is insane, 9/4 time signature, and very bass and saxophone oriented.
Mr. King always kept the bassist in mind when he picked music. He believes in pushing our skill until they grow.
Seriously though, check these two songs out, they are amazing "bass based" songs, both in 9/4: "Time For A Change" and "Indra" both by Hank Levy

first song on stage is not a bassist moment,I played trumpet on stage in 5th grade when Dwight Eisenhower died I played Taps,first bass moment would be about 6 years later on bass at a party our overly ambitious under achieving guitarist attempted Hendrix PinkFloyd I shortly after this time went to guitar 10 years due to accidentally breaking my bass then around 85ish I went over to bass again and since then there has been no looking back

Easy: "The Blue Danube" by Strauss, On accordion, at my first pubic recital in 1966 when I was 5 years old.

Oh, you meant *bass*... Well, I'm guessing that was "Smoke on the Water" with my first band "Stonehenge" at a house party in Santee, CA in 1977...

Rewind 40 years - I was 8, elementary school Christmas performance. Teacher makes me play upright (open strings) on some folk tune. The violin-playing girl almost poked my eye out with the bow.

Lots of guitar playing down the lane, last year January, we had an office band shootout, and I played my 1978 Telecaster Bass. The opening tune was "Let Me Entertain You". I tried so hard to spice it up that I got an onset of tendonitis about 4 bars into the song and had to consciously relax my fretting hand. (We did a half-hour medley, placed second in the contest...)

Not counting band recitals, an original song called 'Isaac Hayes' in my band The 3 Amigos (which consisted of five members lol). I'm actually kind of proud to say I played an original my first time on stage. Kinda cool :) Later that same night I played Funk 49 and White Room in another band.
