First Time Playing a T-40

I have one of the lightweight ones made in 1978. After a deep dive into how the controls work I am getting beautiful sounds from it!

At some point, the T40 body was made with contours, just like how P-basses went from slab to contorur bodies in 1954. Having owned the slab T40, I found the contoured bodies to be noticeably lighter.

As noted in the posted video, the hardware added a lot of weight but high mass bridges were all the rage in the late 70s.

OP here… for what it’s worth, the one I played was a slab, so I guess it was an early example. It was definitely a hefty hunk of lumber!
