I actually do them in Sketch up, I like it because its easy for one, and I can print everything out to scale PERFECT, so it helps a lot. I'm not really a computer guy, so it was an easy way out for me. I actually took an autocad class back in the day, I just prefer this. This drawing is actually Danny's but all in all the shape will be the same, this bass will have 2 single coils though.
I forgot to add the top, I'll do that now!

I knew I'd like the woods, but had no idea that Scott would find such great looking top. Even better looking than I had imagined. Can't wait to see how it looks as it goes through the process.

I got a start on Johns bass today.

The cocobolo top, the sap woods got some crazy little birds eyes in it, what you can't see under that is the mahogany core.

Here's the bottom, a nice book matched piece of sappy ribbon mahogany. The cavity cover is already cut.

The top and bottom will have a wenge veneer between them and the core.

Thanks for the spelling lesson there professor, stick around I'm sure you'll catch many more mistakes from this "good ol southen boy" Lol As far as subbing, I wish I could sub the sanding of this cocobolo!
