Flanger pedals; Which is the best and why?

My long time favorite flanger pedal is the Ibanez/Maxon FL9 but the flangers I use most often are in my Zoom pedals. I also really like the flangers in the AdrenaLinn III but mostly on guitar. There are some flanger effects I call on from time to time in my rack gear especially the 'White Flange' patch on the old ART LT.

I just went on a pedal purge and sold two flangers, DOD Bass Stereo Flanger and Boss BF-2. The Boss was too subtle for me, so I never really used it. The DOD was much more pronounced and had a good swooshy jet sound.
I sold both because I realized that a phaser was the sound I was really looking for.

well.. the mxr m152 micro is pretty sweet !.. i personally have and use that one.. straight forward flange. single knob.. set it.. and off you go.. great pedal, the bass chorus deluxe has a nice flange on it too

flangers are going to sound not alike with different bass.
the few i have settled for recently are:
bf-3 for classic strong flanging
flanger hoax for weird modulation, especially with other pedals(hate the 18v though)
orbital soundblox 2, very versatile, but you need the separate foot switch to save more than 2 presets
korg A5(i know i know.....) for a jet screaming flanger. add some some of it's own dist. and you can knock down a building.

this is what I use...
small foot print and simple and easy to use....sounds great as well
+1 on the mxr micro flanger. I have this pedal and it's my go to pedal for a basic jet flanging sound. the rocktron reation flanger is another good choice for a flanger. it's similar to the boss bf-3.
My favorites are the original MXR Flanger and the Deluxe Electric Mistress.
Mooer Eleclady. Inexpensive, small footprint, and sounds really quite good. Hard to beat this for doing some flanger experimentation.
i tryed the electric lady deluxe. interesting flange sound on the high notes. the lower notes could use more dry, but i wasn't using the dry out.
The MXR 117 and the Deluxe Electric Mistress are the best ones I've found. Unfortunately the EHX Mistress is just too big and the smaller ones don't sound as good.
I also used to like the yellow Ibanez one with the 4 knobs. Can't remember what that was called lol. The old Boss BF2 was pretty decent too.

i've hardly used my bro's mxr evh flanger. when i did, the evh button made a great flanging sound for bass. it's difficult to get a good tone with the evh button inactive.
