True, but that was just the lead-off track. Another cut from it was "Tweakin'," with Chuck D and Flavor Falv dropping in.

Nice and groovy, very "George."





And yep, that album was on Prince's label. :woot:

I've still got my cassette of it around here somewhere... 😏


The same album that gave us "Living in America," which was a huge hit (tied in with a "Rocky" movie).

Even better, it also features "Turn Me Loose, I'm Dr. Feelgood," which showed that Brother James could still kick it hard:

I had both of those albums, and yes, they were a mixture of the classic and the (at the time) new. I much preferred the classic; I'm generally not a fan of loud, in-your-face, obviously programmed and sequenced beats unless it's hip-hop or EDM.

To be clear - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE James and George! Along with Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire, they're my favorite artists and biggest influences.
