Flight themed music

Yeah, the Happy Together tours. I'm not into the whole nostalgia cruise-ship thing, but it's neat to see how they talk about things, Bob, Susan and Paul have a podcast that I check once in a while. They still sound good. I guess John just recently left as drummer the Beach Boys touring group, and is now concentrating on some new work with Vickie, another family thing (they're married). Neat that you got to see that early 90s iteration of Susan's career. When I was in Seattle, one of the nurses I worked with used to talk about seeing "one of the Cowsills" at a residency kind of thing in a Vancouver hotel. Must have been Bill, around the time of the Blue Shadows. I hadn't thought of them in years, but still recall how she encouraged me to get up there to see them. Said it was worth a trip up to Vancouver just for that. In retrospect, I kind of wish I would have.

I don't think anyone's posted this yet.
Surprisingly (or not).
You could also list this in the thread "Records your parents had that you actually ended up liking".
Filed in dad's cabinet next to the Chad Mitchell Trio and the Limelighters.
A Mighty Wind stuff..when Christopher Guest was talking with Mary Travers about the film, she said, "Let me get this right...you want me to be technical advisor on a film that basically makes fun of us? Okay, sounds good."
(Was this the one written by the early John Denver, or was that 500 miles?)

Beautiful

Dang, too late to erase that one above...wrong thread.
I can't multi-task worth a darn.

This is what was supposed to go here:

No wait...Whipping Post...no wait...

Dang, this Bad Company song doesn't sound half-bad.
Haven't listened to this in a few decades.

...........
Gotta go put that other one in the right thread and give it rest for a while.

Oh man, can’t believe we’d missed Freebird! I kept thinking, "There’s something big, a huge one, but what was it…?"
And I can't believe that no one has put this on by Brook Benton up yet.
Maybe because Boll Weevils don't fly very well, so it slipped people's minds.
The only possible explanation.

And maybe the age factor...it's not played on classic rock stations, but I'm pretty sure this thing charted.

Tim Buckley had a bug song, too.

Bug songs just don't get the respect they deserve.
