Emperor II
6 string 35" 3 piece maple neck/ Madagascar Rosewood FB (24 frets)
Mahogany Body
Walnut Top (solid top)
Duncan Dual Coils (matching walnut covers)
Pope Pre
Gold Hardware
Extended B headstock

I'm not sure what the grain is called on that walnut top (crotch?)...
Sounds friggin' great! Can't wait to see the in-progress pics. That's part of the fun and it's cool to be able to see it come to life. The magic of TB. We all get to experience that fun. :)

what exactly happened???

A friend found a nice 1992 Anthony Jackson Contrabass at a local to him GC... for $2500. He was nice enough to think of me when he decided not to purchase it. That was "cheap" in my book.

Ah, the good old days.
:D

Granted but seven years ago it was still worth way more than $2500. I doubt the price of a new AJ was under $7k at the time.

I missed a couple of other deals spending time "thinking about them"... something I usually don't do. I'm usually much more decisive when I know what's at stake.
