Congrats!!! Good Lord does that bass sound incredible!!!! THAT is the perfect tone to my ears! Excellent playing as well.
I have to agree that's pretty much what I've had in my head for about 10 years or so. I've flipped a good number of basses (well still doing so to pay for this
If you think of the wood combo in order of size- Mahogany, maple, alder, rosewood, and that amazing piece of figured ash- I think you pretty much realize it's an ideal blend of all of the most classic tone woods used in bass guitars. Sort of warm, clear, punchy, everything at same time. (I would've worked some walnut somewhere if there were room!)
The only bad thing is I was hoping to order one new to get some other details to my liking, but this sounds so good I don't see that making much sense right now. Good problem to have, I suppose!
I know people complain about Fodera's price but to find what you've been looking for is quite amazing and worth every penny!
Anyway, sorry about the player problems, I'll check it out. New site, new blog. It seems to work best if you use the yahoo player to advance tracks, rather than reselecting tracks on the page.
That guitarist needs some practice as well.
