Hey guys, this is my first post so be easy on me. Got a question that only you guys can answer. I'm playing a Dingwall super J 4 string right now. I love this bass but have a little issue with the neck. The g string keeps slipping off the neck if your not playing perfectly. Meaning if you slightly bend the string downward your off the neck. Here's the question. I'm really liking the NYC Empire 4. Do I go with the Fodera or do I try to make the Dingwall work for me? Mind you I've never played on in my life, but from what you guys say, it's the best bass bar none.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Yesterday I've seen Victor Wooten live (2nd time already, 1st time it was with SMV) man, the tone of his Fodera is amazing, and that's without mentioning his amazing bass playing.
I wish I'll get to the point in my life where I can afford a Fodera and have a great use to it just like Victor, that was a very inspiring evening.
Anyhow, all of the above might be OT, but I have to say, I've seen Vic's bass up close, it's beautiful, you (Fodera) making amazing instruments.
Thumbs up to you![]()
Jason, what is the best way to reach you? I sent an email through the Fodera web site, but no response for a few days.
+1. I've always been impressed when contacting Fodera with how quickly they get back to me, even on weekends.Sorry about that! Not sure what is going on because I am up to date on emails and unless someone is on vacation (which no one currently is), we never go longer than 24 hours without responding. So, could I trouble you to try again at:

Jason is giving Fodera a level of customer service that matches the quality of the instruments. Thumbs up.
I liked the part that said: item may show signs of wear.

Hahahahaha: "The lower bout can easily be repaired."
It's not a dent! Like 10% of the instrument is missing.

About how much would it cost you guys to fix? I think that's why I laughed at it- it's probably way more than the cost of the instrument itself, no matter how much he wants for it.
It's a very cool instrument- too bad about the current condition.
