Because it just seems to work a bit easier given the flat pegheads of the NYC's / standards...a string tree gets in the way.

Cheers,

J

i have a question for you, jason.

is there a specific reason that you guys have the truss rod access on the body on the nyc models rather than the headstock access?

i assume it's because people want a more vintage experience, but i could be wrong.

Hi guys, no hijack intended here but I am not a Fodera owner however, today I had the chance to play a Fodera for the very first time in my life.
It was an Emperor II 5 with Masur Birch top....... I have always had an AJ Presentation as my 'Holy Grail' of basses, but now I'm convinced that anything coming out of the shop is 'Grail' worthy

I love my KZX 5 MTD and do love what Mike Tobias does, but after playing this Emperor II today I am gobsmacked, smacked down, down and out! :smug:

Incredible instrument. Worth the hype, worth the dough.

....speaking of dough, the obsession's been sparked now the saving begins :help:

Hello fellow Canuck! I share your dilemma. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stop at just one. Looks as though my 'Fodera Harem' will top out at six with the crown jewel being a real special bass Vinny is making me to commemorate their 30th Anniversary. :hyper:

Keep saving those loonies. It's worth it.

BTW, Mike Tobias is indeed another really great luthier. Every American Series bass I've had the pleasure of playing was a gem. Andrew Gouche makes his MTD basses sing.

dang it! I think I may have been close by to ya in June, we did a 2 week Ontario tour.... dang it!! ;)
Well, the next time I'm out your way I've gotta try and stop by if that's cool. And yes, that Emperor II is still lingering hehehehe

btw, the used Fodera 6 on your site looks incredible!

cheers,
pd
