I don't really understand making a Garrison Standard, an Imperial Std sure but not a Garrison. I greatly prefer the look of an Imperial to the Garrison. I suppose if Fodera sells more of the Garrison shape it makes sense, though.

Yes, we are working on one now. There is an instrument that we are building for another customer that is on the shop for as I write this on which some of the ideas and concepts that will be used for Anthony's new instrument will be employed. We will see how it goes...

An AJ Presentation Shaped instrument without any of the crazy woods, Ti parts, carved top or chambering is priced just like any other 6-string Elite...

Because of the way that our records used to be kept its impossible for me to accurately answer that question because there used to be no data recorded that allows me to distinguish between a true AJ Presentation and an AJP-shaped bass.
That said, it is certainly less than 20...

Nope...the two in the foreground were both finished in our standard satin finish. Over time, however, when used and played regularly the finish will naturally rub out to look glossy...just by the constant friction from its player's touch.
The two basses in the foreground are:
1. Matt's first signature bass from 1995 which is 34" scale, Buckeye Top, Alder body, Ebony FB and 19.0mm spacing;
2. Matt's current signature bass from 1999 -- the one everyone associates with him -- 33" scale, Chestnut Top, Walnut Body, Ebony FB and 19.0 m spacing)

That is great to hear that Matthew's personal MG5's are 19mm, it seems that a bunch of MG5 players have opted for 16.5mm, 17.0mm & other narrow spacing.

Would you be able to shed some light on some of those "ideas and concepts" ?
It would be real interesting to see in how far and what way the new instrument will be different from the current one, and why certain changes are being made.
When is it expected to be built and completed ?
I would be more keen on keeping these pics secret but since Matt is putting them out there on the web for anyone to see, I might as well post them here, too.

Well, no new Fodera basses under the tree this year but it was the 1st Christmas spent with 'Olive'.
