Foderastealth™ technology has been around for YEARS. Joey and I have used it on numerous occasions. It involves leaving the house in the morning with an empty gig bag or case and returning with a full one. "Honey, I'm home. So glad the guys made time to fix my bass today. Let me just run down and put it back in the studio." LOL

Yes I did, the reason that I go for narrower spacing is because of chord playing on 6 string bass, I got a small hands, though I can do them on a 19mm spacing bass, 16.5mm definitely helps.

Also, for this 6 string, I actually want a compact instrument, so 6 string with 5 string sized body + 16.5mm spacing is the main way to make this instrument look compact...:smug:

Tim, thanks for that. I'm going for 17.5 bridge spacing on my MG6 and will ask to have it tweeked down to 17mm. I also want the body of a 5, so maybe that's something I should specify.

I'm guessing the top is Rosewood of some sort..It's going to look and sound killer..

The YYS headstock does look different -- it is because it is not angled back the way all of the other Foderas that came before it were. So even though the shape is essentially the same, your eye is seeing them at different angles, thereby making them look different.

And then of course there is the fact that every Fodera has so much hand labor in it that every one is a unique piece...

Is the YYS the same headstock as the YYD? It looks as though it may be a little longer but its hard to tell. Its certainly longer than the older Monarchs per the picture!

Order placed? What's the spec??

It is my spec sheet, perhaps you can take a look as well. Thanks Jason for marking all the details on it, I'm kind of person who pay attention to the details....:smug:

Lol. Harder to pull off with a FedEx or UPS delivery though!

"Oh hey hon, looks like the guys shipped my bass back to me. I gotta remember to stop leaving it at gigs. Yeah, yeah the gig WAS in Brooklyn as a matter of fact! Well, i was able to get home that night because we only did one set and drove really fast to Michigan - because the bass wasn't there, don't you see? Why are you crying?"

Bring the gig bag to the office one week BEFORE the new bass ships...TO THE OFFICE. These are vital, vital skills my man, VITAL.

Unfortunately, I'm at work at the moment so I don't have access to my spec sheet, but this is pretty much it;

Matt Garrison 6 String
Claro Walnut Full top + matching peg head
Walnut Body/Alder Heel Block
Ebony Finger board, No dots
3 piece Ash neck - Slim fast profile, 33" scale, Extended B Headstock (without drop down tuner)
26 Small Frets
17.5mm Bridge Spacing
SD Dual coil pick-ups with matching Claro cases, Poles exposed.
Latest Pope pre-amp with MG control layout
Hardware colour: Black (but could change)
Strings: Light gauge, with Low action

Jason has told me that my spec's must be confirmed by early March, so there's still time for a "little" change.

Hopefully it'll be finished sometime in July.

sounds great - but aren't there still 7-8 month left after the final lock-in ?

"Any changes to the specifications of your instrument must be made at least
four (4) months in advance of your Production Date. We will not honor
requests after that time. 30% of any additional charges as the result of any
changes made at least four (4) months prior to your Production Date will be
due immediately upon our agreeing to modify your specifications. All such
modifications will be made at then prevailing prices."

Given the times on that spec sheet I would say that is accurate. 4 months prior to production date to lock in spec and around 4 months for build time.

yes - and production time is about 2-4 month as far as I'm informed correctly

I have an Imperial on order as well so I'm interessted in that also ;)

my lock in should be around june/july

According to my production date the spec has to be confirmed mid February but I am not expecting the bass to be complete until late this year if not yearly next.

I mean realistically from Timithy's order which is not delivered yet they have according the production orders#, over 450 instruments to build before they start mine.(I'm guessing based on the information from my and Timothy's order)

Not to dampen your spirits but just looking at an overall picture. Of course this is speculation and I have NO idea what is going on in the shop besides kick ass bass building.

took a while but i mastered the ship to my office the last few years. never had to but the last few years my wife actually went and counted the basses she could see :-) (probably missed 2 dozen but i won't tell if you don't). greased the mailroom folks with some bottles of wine at the holidays so everyting comes right to me.... sneak into the house thru garage. open p laterwhen all is asleep. the things we do for love !!!!
