That made me look up too, alongside the $500 or $600 quoted for pickups without wooden pickup covers.
Unless, of course I missed something there or I misread or those figures are inaccurate

that's the one from ebay a while back that was asking $8,000 . . . and i opined it was more along the line of $5,000.
that being said, some one sold a 6-string on vaguely the same vintage for around $8,000 on ebay in the last week or so. chesnut, 36-inch scale, newer pre.
