Although we are toying with this as an option on future runs of YYS, that is NOT the next Standard...

If you take the paint and maple top off the YYS you've got a lower-cost "vanilla" Monarch already set to go from a batch production standpoint. I could see that with dual coils.

I must say that your Imperial is gorgeous just beyond belief. From time to time I checked on your site, and the Buckeye Imperial always amazed me. I am so glad to have found this bass, and for a reasonable price, too. There are some very tempting offers here on tb, but with customs and shipping, they would be at least 2000€ more expensive than this one.

It would, but itwould also be quite attractive to me.
Off all the Fodera shapes I like the monarch the best at the moment, and I tend to dislike active basses and those with more than one pickup.I also dislike anything that's merely aesthetic,hence no top(on a solid body).
Neck throughs are also not my kind of thing, usually.:)

Two Daily Base and one BaseX. I have another Daily Base on order that should be done within the next couple of weeks... It is specially designed to come close to AJs bass sound on his latest recordings, especially on Hiromis "Voice".

I personally really quite like the BaseX. :)

I have one and I absolutely love it! I really don't see any difference between the old "New Standards" and a regular Monarch bolt-on other than the preamp, which I upgraded on mine. The quilted maple top on my Monarch is of a higher quality than those on basses from other manufacturers that cost over $5k.

I actually bought a Yin Yang Standard at about the same time and the angled back headstock, carved heal and different body woods were the main reasons I kept the Monarch and sold the Yin Yang.

I really just consider my bass to be a Monarch bolt-on and it makes me very happy.

I have the same feelings about buying a new bass from internet, shipping and custom would kill me, only way that I would do this is to go to US and pick it up,
Also think that mr.bassmans basses look great specially that buckeyed Imperial....

The BaseX is a very cool instrument. It is designed to fit in anywhere, visually and soundwise. I played it on Metal, Jazz, Rock gigs and in the studio. Perfect for standard and B-E-A-D tuning.

The new Daily Base:

body: bottom mahogany, maple centerpiece, walnut top, maple neck with bubinga stripes, ebony fretboard, Häussel Bassbucker Pickups, chambered body

25%, that´s tough.

In Germany, customs are 3-4% + ~5% because of the Paypal currency exchange policy, 400$ shipping... it all adds up. Any decent Elite model I have seen for sale on tb was 8000$ or above, so I would have cost me at least 7500€ even with the tax refund...

here customs are 8% but, taxes are 25% on anything you import from other country (which is more that 50E), so if you are not a professional musician you would pay another 33% on the price of the bass or anything.... :hmm:

Jason just loves being a bass-tease.

Jason is this standard the 30 th anniversary standard? Or is the 30th anniverary bass not a standard quality bass??

anybody thinking about a fretless?? I would think that it will have to be different enough from the YYS so either fretless or dual coils.
