There will be three separate products for our 30th year...

3 Anniversary Basses -- "Sky's the Limit Art Pieces" that we will have complete artistic control over. The customers can choose the body shape, scale, # of strings, spacing and tone woods...everything else is up to us. These are already spoken for...

6 Limited Edition Victor Wooten Classics that will be an exact replica of Vic's 1983 Monarch using the same FB wood (the last 6 pieces that we have), the original preamp and original hardware...

A new Standard Model that will have four strings and that's all I will let on for now. Details about this instrument will be released at Bass Player Live this October...

anybody thinking about a fretless?? I would think that it will have to be different enough from the YYS so either fretless or dual coils.

It's just small pieces of Ebony...this customer like the way Richard's Bass looked. On Richard's original bass we needed to put them there to cover the routes from the original Dual Coils that were in the bass before they were changed to EMGs...

I don't actually have data with me to crunch in an easy format and to pull that would take a fair amount of time. I can tell you that for the Custom Instruments, far and away the most are Neck-throughs followed by Dovetails with Bolt-ons being the least common. I believe that your data sample is somewhat skewed by the popularity of the Standard models...

Actually this is not correct. Since we started the Newborn Section, all but a handfull of Custom instruments have been posted. For the Standards, we try to post one of every 10 since they all look very similar...

That's what I'm thinking too. It will be interesting to see what they do for a body wood. I think I read somewhere in here (or maybe just think I did!) that it wasn't going to have a fancy top. That limits the possibilities. I'm sure it's going to be a killer bass.

Really ? Ok, I have guessed wrong ;)

We need to see the new AJ Hybrid with detail pictures soon please ! :)
