I'm guessing it will be a VW standard. Spec to his 83 bass. Seems like they are basing the "standard" production on popular models. It would be a smart move to continue this idea seeing the success of the previous standard models.

I am hoping after my band's album is finished in august they'll scrap what ever ideas they have going, and choose to focus on a "Leigh not very standard at all" model...

Would it be a good choice for Fodera? No... No it wouldn't.

Remeber the Monarch Standart that was available some years ago ? I guess it was around 2003 or so...

So there already was one existing

Also it would make big sence - there's the Emperor Standart and no Monarch Standart ... if you look how many Monarchs are being born in the Newborn section I would think there will be a Monarch

To be Jason-ish it would have to come as a 12-pack.

If you take the paint and maple top off the YYS you've got a lower-cost "vanilla" Monarch already set to go from a batch production standpoint. I could see that with dual coils.

My guess for next standard would be 4 string Emperor bolt on with single coil and 21 fret. Not sure about top but body would be alder and indian rosewood.
Is there any prize if I got the right guess Jason?

I really like the old Monarch Standards from a few years ago. I tried to get one of them last year but ended up finding a VW classic in the end. I prefer how the original Monarch Standard had the angled peghead as opposed to the newer ES5 and YYS that have the flat peghead!
