Cool! What are you getting? Pics?

I was looking for my older post(s) about the new bass, but can't find 'em. So, I'll recreate the specs:

34" Imperial Elite (MG Shape) 5 (B-G)
Brazilian Fretboard (handpicked by Jason), no inlay, 24 large frets
Solid top Chestnut (the last piece of Chestnut ever!)
17.5mm spacing
5 piece Maple neck with Walnut stringers
Walnut body/Alder tone block
Duncan Dual Coils, '60s spacing
Gold Hardware
Thomastik-Infeld flat strings

Pictures forthcoming as soon as it arrives!

Sounds amazing. Congrats!

I wish I didn't have to get another car soon, as I'd like to order another Fodera. :hmm:

Wow. I can't wait to see that!

Quick question about the Braz boards - Is there concern about travel abroad with a Braz board and the Lacey Act? I noticed a number of Braz boards on Foderas. Just curious.

that whole Lacey act deal was a bunch of BS. We all bugged when they raided Gibson, but it turns out, the head of Gibson has some really bad blood with a Senator or congressman (can't remember) and it was basically a personal vendetta. Have we heard anything about that since?

I fly with my basses (domestically and internationally) on average, 6 times a month. I've never once been stopped and asked about the wood of my basses. I would have to say for the most part, we're all safe. Plus, without paperwork, you can just say it's "jimmy wood" or Indian rosewood and you're cool. But please correct me someone if I'm just talking out of my ass!
