Folks, what do you think of this bass? Looks like it is $4250 new. Interested in opinions vs. the Standard Series model. Here is another link...

I have a Emperor Standard 5 on order but looking to consolidate a few other basses into one killer 4.

It's legit. They had a batch made up to their specs. I can't see why it wouldn't be a great bass - it was made the same way as other Foderas. Seems to me it'd be kind of like a Monarch Standard without the blingy top.

It's very similar to the Monarch Standard minus the Dual Coil PUPS, 5A top and substituting an Indian RW FB for the Pau Ferro. We did a run of just 10 of them and they were commissioned by GTR Store...it's a great all-arounder that's on the modern side of the tonal spectrum.

They are also pretty light weight. Generally between 8.5 and 9.0 pounds...

Cheers,

J

Thanks Jason.

The 5A top alone is worth more than the $250 difference to me. Add the DC PU's.... the Standard a no brainier.

Yes, we will be working 4 Saturdays and late on 6 Thursdays between now and year-end to try to recoup the week of build time that we lost. Our goal is to catch up on the time lost by the end of the year.

Regards,

J

i imagine that you guys are now at least a week back on people's orders and whatever you had brewing for namm-age.

good luck, i foresee a wee bit of stress from all that.

Glad you're back in action. But, first and foremost, glad that all of you guys along with your families haven't suffered any major loss, damage or injuries.
